Getting here from around Leeds

Most journeys end the same way: come off the M621 at Junction 2, onto the Ingram Distributor, then onto Ingram Road. You drive into the yard and up to your own door, so a van or a car with the seats down goes straight to the unit.

Which areas of Leeds do you cover?

Qube is one site rather than a chain, so the honest answer to “do you cover my area?” is: if you can drive to Holbeck, you can store here. In practice that means south Leeds and the city centre are on the doorstep, and anywhere on the M621 corridor is a short run.

  • LS11Holbeck, Beeston
  • LS10Hunslet, Belle Isle, Middleton
  • LS1Leeds city centre
  • LS12Wortley, Armley, Farnley
  • LS27Morley, Churwell

Further out — Headingley, Kirkstall, Garforth, Pudsey — it's a longer drive, but the 24/7 access changes the maths. You are not tied to a reception's opening hours, so a single evening or Sunday trip does the job of two weekday ones.

Looking for storage on the Leeds ring road?

Qube is inside it rather than out on it, and that is deliberate. Most self storage around Leeds sits on the ring road or on an industrial estate towards the motorway, because that is where cheap land is. Holbeck is unusual: it is genuinely close to the centre and still has yard space. If you are storing things you actually need to get at — business stock, tools, a half-unpacked house — the difference between about 5 minutes and a half-hour round trip is the difference between using the unit and resenting it.

The trade-off is worth weighing rather than assuming. A ring-road site is quick to reach if you are already out that way, and they are often a little cheaper for exactly that reason. If you live or work anywhere central, though, you drive out and back every time you need something from the unit — and that is the trip people quietly stop making.

Drive-up container storage vs indoor storage units

Both are “self storage”, and they are not the same experience. Traditional indoor storage puts your unit inside a warehouse: you park, unload onto a trolley, and take a corridor and sometimes a lift to your door. Container storage like ours is a steel locker at ground level in an open yard, so the van reverses to the door and you carry things once.

Drive-up container (Qube)Indoor warehouse unit
Getting to your doorReverse the van right up to itTrolley through corridors, sometimes a lift
Access hours24/7 from your phoneOften reception hours only
Bulky or heavy loadsStraightforward — no lift, no cornersAwkward — lift size and corridor width limit you
Vehicles and trailersYes, in a 40ftAlmost never
Climate controlNo — weatherproof steel, not heatedSometimes offered

The one honest trade-off: containers are wind- and watertight but not climate-controlled. For furniture, stock, tools, archives and vehicles that is fine. For anything genuinely humidity-sensitive — certain instruments, some artwork — an indoor heated unit is the better buy, and we would tell you so.

What's on site

  • Steel container storage units in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft, all at ground level
  • Hardstanding throughout, so you drive up to the door in any weather
  • App-controlled smart locks — your phone is the key, no gate codes to share
  • ANPR number-plate recognition on the gate and AI CCTV across the yard
  • Security staff on site 24/7, with a direct link to the police

Common questions about storage in Leeds

Is Qube Self Storage open yet?
No. The Holbeck site is under construction and targeting an opening in autumn 2026. There are no published prices and no bookings until then. Registering now is free, with nothing to pay and nothing to cancel — it locks in founding-member rates and you hear the exact opening date first.
Where exactly in Leeds is the site?
Ingram Road, Holbeck, Leeds LS11 9RQ. That is Holbeck, just off the M621 at Junction 2, about a mile south-west of the city centre.
Is there self storage in Holbeck?
Qube is being built on Ingram Road and will be self storage in Holbeck itself, opening autumn 2026. Until then the nearest options are on the ring road and around Elland Road rather than in Holbeck proper — which is the gap this site exists to fill.
Do you cover south Leeds?
Yes — Holbeck is south Leeds, so Beeston, Hunslet, Middleton, Belle Isle and Morley are all a short drive. The site is a single yard rather than a network of branches, so everyone uses the same LS11 address.
Can I visit before you open?
Not yet — it is a live construction site. Once the hardstanding and the first containers are in we will post photos, and registered members see them first. Email us if you want to arrange something specific nearer opening.

Qube is not open yet, so nothing on this page is bookable. Prices go out by email when we open in autumn 2026, and anyone who registers beforehand gets founding-member terms.
